If there is one thing you should do for your AR platform, it is replace a crappy trigger…. outside of loading your own ammo this will make the biggest difference in how your rifle functions.
There are tons of options out there to suit just about any preference. So far I have found two manufacturers that I really like, TriggerTech out of Canada and Velocity Triggers in Arizona.
Recently I installed a TriggerTech AR Diamond in a large frame AR and could not be happier, expensive but worth every penny…. Simply an amazing trigger with awesome adjustability when it comes to pull weight.
And yes I am partial to straight shoe triggers. I prefer the way they feel on the fingers and are absolutely essential when paired up with the KTAK FTC.
I have also found Velocity Triggers to be of great quality and extremely reliable. They are also at a great price point, on the inexpensive side of drop in triggers.
Another great thing is that they both offer LE and Military discounts, just go to their respective websites and sign up.
Not to say that there are not other great makers of triggers, there are. But these are two I have experience with.
